The Proton P3-21A teaser was aired in Buletin Utama tonight during business news slot. The teaser, last about 2 minutes revealed most of highlights item on Proton’s 1st ever global car. Far from previous spy shots, its exterior looks better in high resolution image and its interior which before this looks bland, is also promising. See below youtube video for the teaser.
From the video clearly we can see its exterior highlights such as projector with DRL headlamps, LED rear combination lamp, new multispoke rims and new outer handle design. It also has side mirror auto retract and flip, second after Exora bold to have the same system.
For interior, steering is carry over Exora design but texture looks better in P3-21A and clearly can see steering mounted magnesium paddle shifter, like the one in the Honda Civic and City. Also it has engine start stop button, indicate the highest trim option will use keyless entry system. Gear lever also has steptronic mode though it can be better with gated system. Center console, can be more better if the dials has chrome detailing same as one in Myvi lagi best. Engine will use Proton latest turbocharged CFE engine which produce 138 horses and 205Nm torque paired with Continuously variable transmission (CVT) rumored to be 7 speed mode. Selling price is range from RM65k to RM75k.
Honestly, this is the best car ever made by Proton. Admin was absolutely impressed with the progress made by Proton so far. If this level of car proton will produce in future, they will be success awaits. Good design must come with stringent QC and this only way to develop the brand awareness.
