SEPANG (10th June 2012) – In conjunction with the 2012 Autobacs Super GT Series (Round 3) to be held at the Sepang International Circuit on 10th June 2012, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) will be launching two exciting sporty variants of Nissan models Tuned by IMPUL, the renowned Nissan tuning company from Japan.
The two variants are the Nissan Livina X-Gear Tuned by IMPUL and Nissan Sylphy Tuned by IMPUL which feature exclusive accessories that have been specially customized for the popular Nissan models.
“We are very excited to be able to offer enthusiasts these sportier variants of our popular Nissan Livina X-Gear and Nissan Sylphy which have been specially tuned and developed by ETCM’s business partner, IMPUL of Japan. These variants are intended to cater to those who aim to drive something sportier and more exclusive,” said Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng, Executive Director of ETCM.
Dato’ Dr. Ang added that since being introduced in Malaysia four years ago, the Nissan variants Tuned by IMPUL have been popular and have accounted for about 10% of the sales of each respective model. He assured that the accessories are of the highest quality and professionally installed by trained personnel.
NISSAN LIVINA X-GEAR TUNED BY IMPUL
IMPUL Blast 2 Exhaust Muffler – a high-quality stainless steel exhaust muffler in a polished finish and IMPUL logo etched on the tailpipe. Apart from enhancing the car’s looks, this muffler also provides sharper engine response and has a sportier note.
IMPUL Aura SX-20 Alloy Wheels – In a black and polished finish, these 17-inch wheels add a sporty and luxurious touch to the car. A new Super Cast process used by IMPUL makes the wheels 20% to 30% lighter in comparison to conventional processes, enabling improved performance without compromising quality, strength and most importantly, safety.
IMPUL Sports Suspension System – Consisting of shock absorbers and coil springs, this sports suspension system has been specially tuned by IMPUL engineers to deliver sportier handling. The ride height is lower with increased lateral force support when cornering to enhance the neutral cornering characteristics of Nissan Livina X-Gear. Good ride comfort is retained so that long journeys are just as pleasurable.
IMPUL Complete Aerokit Rear Wing Spoiler – The IMPUL’s signature wing spoiler ensure an optimized air flow over the masculine silhouette of the car.
NISSAN SYLPHY TUNED BY IMPUL
IMPUL Blast 2 Exhaust Muffler – a high-quality stainless steel exhaust muffler with a polished finish and IMPUL logo etched on the tailpipe enhances the back appearance of the Nissan Sylphy.
IMPUL Aura SX-10 Alloy Wheels – These 17-inch wheels are finished in black with a shiny polished surface that adds a luxurious image to the Nissan Sylphy. Using IMPUL’s new Super Cast process, the wheels can be up to 30% lighter in comparison to the conventional process. Reduced wheel weight means that performance can be enhanced and there are also benefits to fuel economy.
IMPUL Sports Suspension System – IMPUL’s engineers carried out extensive testing and development to come up with a refined setting for the shock absorbers and coil springs which will deliver comfort, safety and agility.
IMPUL Complete Aerokit – A revolutionary difference to its predecessor is the newly designed aerokit which gives the Nissan Sylphy just the right attitude in the form of front grille, front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts and IMPUL’s trademark wing spoiler on the bootlid.
The Nissan Livina X-Gear Tuned by IMPUL is priced at RM90,800.00 while the Nissan Sylphy Tuned by IMPUL is selling at RM125,988.00.00 for the 2.0XL and RM135,988.00 for the 2.0XV. The prices are inclusive of insurance, road tax, registration fee and ownership claim fee in Peninsular Malaysia.
All IMPUL parts come with a 3-year or 100,000-km warranty (whichever comes first, subject to terms and conditions) on manufacturing defects if they are purchased and installed by ETCM on a brand new Nissan Livina X-Gear or Nissan Sylphy.
